The Lockdown Lunatic

Theres a demo video here. Which shows off a couple of the available million tones inside this!

Theres this one as well, that shows a few more!

The Lockdown Lunatic is a monophonic analogue harmonizing PLL with modulation. It takes your input signal and amplifies it into a square wave fuzz tone that then creates a wild three-voice guitar synthesizer. A phase-locked loop or phase lock loop (PLL) is a control system that generates an output signal whose phase is related to the phase of an input signal.

The Main Oscillator is the brain behind of this Lunatics behaviour. Its really quite tough to describe this one in words. What it does it take your input signal, add octaves, fuzz, waves and then bends pitches, adds vibrato and then add’s in sub harmonic intervals… got that?

If you’re looking for something musical, then this isn’t for you. It’s a synthy noise maker, it’ll take in whatever you feed it and corrupt it!

The Lockdown Lunatic kit has a fair few parts, a lot of knobs and controls, namely – Square, Oscillator, Sub harmony, Rate, Vibrato, Sub 1 and 2, Oscillator 1 and 2. 5 pots, 3 toggles and 2 rotary switches. Its an intermediate level kit, other than having plenty of parts to put together (And a degree in rocket science how to use it) you don’t need much specialist equipment or knowledge to successfully put this lunatic together. Its good, really good and I love what it does. It’ll work well with any instrument you use it with.

It fits inside a JP1590BB enclosure and is a pro level piece of kit.  The PCB features our DIY friendly layout, spacious and nice sized pads to encourage you to produce good joints. To top that off you get our highly detailed build guide to help you put it together.
