Does the Klone need much introduction? Selling second hand for over 2000 pounds I think not. Apparently it has magical parts that make it worth that much. All I can say on that is... erm.... moving on.
So this kit became my nemesis on a design front and I settled on this layout. It caters for everything we as DIY'ers want, easy to put together, board mounted pots and a footswitch PCB. The circuit itself pumps out 18v from a 9v supply.
The board is designed to take right angled pots which will be supplied at no extra cost if stocked. If not you will need to wire them in place.
This kit fits a JP125B enclosure. It is suitable to an intermediate level builder and at the best UK price then why wouldnt you want to give this kit a go.
I Wonder What it Compares to
This kit compares to the Klon Centaur.
There is no endorsement or approval from any manufacturer and this information is for comparison only.
Whats Included with Each Option
PCB Only - Just the plain PCB
PCB & Components - PCB, onboard components and any pots and toggle switches.
Full Kit - As above with undrilled enclosure and off board components (foot switch, Jacks, 9v, LED)
Full Kit & Drilling - Full kit with drilled enclosure.
Drilling is an optional extra for the Full Kit. There is a small surcharge for this.
Drilling includes all the holes for a complete pedal.
You will need 3 knobs for this kit. I suggest you get skinny ones.
Please be sure to read the build document before you order. The kits are enjoyable but can also be challenging.
You will have to identify components, calculate resistor codes and be able to solder them into place.
All kits require full assembly and any images of completed PCBs are for reference only.
