Acapulco Golden Dope
The Acapulco GD is a fantastic one knobed distortion kit. If you like distortion, then you will love this one. It really grinds! Two LM386 chips drive the circuit which claims to emulate the power section of a cranked Sunn-T amp. The current version adds a little buffer to the circuit to give the signal some oomph through the circuit. There is also the option to add a gain trimmer or pot if you wish.
As kits go, this one has very few parts. The PCB hangs from the board mounted pot as you can see in the product piccy.
This kit is suitable for a beginner, just be careful with those chips.
This kit is supplied with a JP1590B enclosure.
