Big Alice Sound Enhancer

Big Alice is a sound enhancing circuit, it adds clarity and definition to your tone and can be adjusted to suit a wide variety of rigs and settings. Its said to be like taking a blanket off of your speaker… I’ll let you decide the validity of that! I guess it is an EQ pedal at heart and also adds some boost to the signal. 
 
The signal is split into three parts (low, medium and high) that can be controlled & modified separately before being mixed back together. There are also two toggles which sets the frequencies at which the low and process knobs work at.
 
Like al \lDIY versions of this our circuit is a little different to the original units from the 80’s as they used their own IC, which they produced themselves and is now obsolete. In short, the IC contained the various parts of the circuit which are now included on the board. So, whilst it’s not the identical circuit it does the same thing. 
 
It works well on guitar, bass and acoustic. The PCB is designed to hang from the pots and toggles so once its inside it will be very secure, and the final build will be neat.

Theres no specialist knowledge needed, all the parts drop into place but there are quite a few parts. This kit fits a JP125b enclosure. The kit is medium difficulty, simply due to having a fair few parts to identify and place.
